Construction in full swing at massive OKANA project
A huge amount of construction is in progress at OKANA, the massive-mixed used project surrounding the First Americans Museum.
The first phase of the project will cost over $342 million and include a 107,000 square foot two-level indoor water park, a 404-room hotel, 36,000 square feet of retail and commercial space, 11 restaurants and bars, a large space, and a 4.5 acre lagoon with water slides, inflatable obstacle course, and a sandy beach with large TV screens.
Phase II will likely include a big aquarium and there will be more built to the east of the museum.
OKANA is expected to be a tourism draw for the entire region.
